Everyone wants the very best for their families and we
are no different. At Cearley Cottage, our dogs are our children.
So when we set out to make a soft treat for one of our aging furbabies, we never
expected that a few years down the line that I, Susie, would be walking away
from a successful career in Advertising to commit myself to becoming a full time
baker for my own dog treat business. Just for fun, I started baking and selling
at the Midland Downtown Farmers Market in 2009. Just a small table with a couple
of treat flavors and by the end of that first market season, my table size had
grown as well as the choices I offered and so had my clientele. I knew I had
found my passion! So I took that leap of faith that friends and a very
supportive husband kept nudging me towards and left my agency job behind. I love
meeting new people and talking to people who are just as passionate about their
furry children as Roy & I are about ours. As a furparent I know what I
want for my family and that is what I put into our product. Wholesome all
natural ingredients, never any sugar or corn products, no chemical or
preservatives in any of the ingredients. Real butter instead of margarine, the
highest quality flours, seasonal fruits/vegetables and organic ingredients. Yes
even you will be tempted to take a bite of my treats....and that's okay because
they are created with only human grade ingredients.
